What we collect, why, and how to make us delete it.
Who we are
ColombiaAirports.com operates this website as an independent airport information and travel service, and as the parent site of MedellinAirport.co, BogotaAirport.co, CartagenaAirport.co and CaliAirport.co. We are not affiliated with any Colombian airport, airport operator or Aerocivil. Questions about this policy can be sent through our contact page.
What we collect
Information you give us. Your email address and chosen airport if you join the launch list; your name, email, message and any arrival details if you contact us; and, for partner or transport-company enquiries, your organization, role details, contact number and the information you choose to include.
Technical information. Standard server data such as IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and pages viewed. We also record the page a form was sent from, the referring page and any campaign tags in the link, so we know which pages are useful.
Booking information (future). Once transfer booking opens, we will collect what's needed to arrange transport: traveler names, contact number, flight number, pickup and destination address, passenger and luggage counts, and payment confirmation data handled by our payment processor.
We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we do not ask for sensitive personal data. Please don't include medical details in a message; if you're a clinic, "arriving for treatment" is all we need.
Why we use it
- To tell you when transfer booking opens at the airport you chose, if you asked us to.
- To answer your enquiry.
- To arrange and support a transfer you've booked, which requires sharing the necessary trip details with the licensed transport company doing the trip.
- To operate, secure and improve the website.
- To comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations in Colombia.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the licensed transport company assigned to your booking (limited to what they need for the trip); service providers that run parts of our infrastructure, such as hosting, form processing and storage (including Google), email delivery and payment processing; and authorities where we are legally required to.
Cookies and local storage
This site doesn't use advertising cookies. If you dismiss the "view in Spanish" suggestion, your browser remembers that choice locally; nothing is sent to us. If we add analytics, advertising or affiliate tracking, we'll update this policy and say so on the pages concerned.
How long we keep it
Launch-list emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Enquiries are kept as long as needed to resolve them and for a reasonable period afterwards. Booking and payment records are kept for the period required by Colombian commercial, tax and consumer-protection rules.
Your rights
Colombian data protection law (Ley 1581 de 2012 and its implementing decrees) gives you the right to know what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or updated, to request proof of consent, to be told how it has been used, to complain to the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio, and to revoke consent or request deletion where the conditions apply. If you are contacting us from the EU or UK, we will honour equivalent access and deletion requests. Write to us through the contact page.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, and we'll tell affected users promptly if a breach affects their data.
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
